Experience
My philosophy as a teacher is that if I believe in a student as their teacher, then they will begin to believe in themselves. If I can make that happen, those students will develop a positive attitude in the classroom as they build confidence in themselves. I graduated from Norfolk State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and am currently a candidate at Georgia State University for my master's degree in Education. Right now I am a 6th grade teacher, currently teaching math, and have taught geometry previously as well. I especially like to tutor math students because if you can learn the key concepts of math, it will better help you to think critically. I also feel that you can keep a student interested in math by using examples that tie into their particular interests, which helps them learn better. My previous work in the field of learning and education has been rewarded as I was invited to be a part of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy being with my friends and family, as well as baking, working on different arts and crafts, and exercising.
