I'm licensed to teach Mathematics, and I have taught kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as college level Algebra. I'm a Romanian native, and I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the Bucharest Construction Institute in Civil Engineering. I attended graduate school at the State University of New York- Buffalo, where I earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering, as well. I've taught math at the middle school level, Algebra I-IV, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Geometry, and Trigonometry. I worked as an adjunct professor of Algebra at Virginia Commonwealth University. I'm helpful to students with issues staying focused. I'm also great at converting students who believe they can't be successful at math, and who've expressed disinterest and even disdain for the subject. It was quite an accomplishment for me when I helped an undergraduate student achieve her first A in the subject! I make sure to work with students individually to clarify and explain concepts. I also like to provide useful, relatable examples when students are having difficulty grasping material. I currently live in Henrico, Virginia. In my time outside of teaching, I love to travel, hike, read, watch movies, practice yoga, and Zumba!
