I began my studies in English at James Madison University after having scored fives on both the English Language and the Literature AP exams. My studies have enriched my tutoring abilities by giving me advanced communication skills, knowledge, and experience in all subjects, and an especially solid grasp of English and Literature courses. In my practice as a tutor, I focus on cultivating a sense of confidence and self efficacy within students in order to build a solid foundation for successful learning. I was able to accomplish this with one of my tutees who was failing the majority of his courses. After I worked with him on his confidence as well as his study skills, he was able to pass all classes, graduate, and go on to attend community college. I have extensive experience tutoring individuals as well as groups. In addition to English and Literature, I tutor many courses such as Differential Equations, Reading, Public Speaking, Test Prep, and Social Studies. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, being outside, hiking, and gardening. I currently reside in Midlothian, Virginia.
